What is a Temporary Pass?

I'm using LL Submitter for the first time.
It's asking me to enter a "temporary pass".

I don't run an AVS or pay site, so why do I need to enter
this password.

Some Link Lists enable subsequent editing of the submitted free site or the viewing of stats - number of accesses to your free site. The Temporary Pass you provided will enable you to view your free site info or stats.
