ok so once the PA's are submitted, we have to do this next part manually ourselves right? i'm just starting out here i'm sure more experienced users would not mind but i see like 200 sites to send PA reqs to and then handle on a day to day basis. hmm...
Checking the inbox, reading the subject and finding the confirmation email then once clicked, look for the return accept email. that's what i'm thinking is what we have to do.
Yunno, maybe there's a way to automate that part a bit more.
think the programmers could look into adding a new step to PAR ?
One that would save us time and worry, by just half automating the process.
Here's what i had in mind: so we send the reqs with PAR in step 6, then use Confirmer to click the links or do them manually. then spend our time switching windows from browser to PAR back and forth cutting and pasting info.
When you have more than 30 PA mails to go through there's an entire evening of work right there right ?
Yes, i think i've got an idea here, a new step 7 to PAR. This new feature (step7) would show us the list of emails in our inbox, we can either handle each email 1by1 or use a check box to handle a group for us with the simple push of a button.
when the email is opened, PAR can parse it to find the domain in the db and open the status window for us (we can tile both windows side by side).
It would then prefil the window with info from step1, and let us handle the corrections if necessary.
i'm thinking we could even extend this to a bunch of emails at once. checkboxes and instead of deleting emails, we,d click a "accepted" button for the whole lot or reject, that way we can set the status for those domains at once.
At this point all we did in PAR step7 was open the email, find the domain and fill in the blanks for us. but its a huge saving in terms of time. we don't have to keep switching windows from inbox and finding the domain then right click to set the status, PAR can display all that in a new step for us. we'd stay in the app the whole time, less running around various browsers and windows etc
We'd still have to read the mail ourselves to double check but it would save us some steps if the status window was prefilled with "accepted" and using today's date for "validity from", and the login info from step1.
i think it could be rather simple to implement within PAR. step7 would just read the messages in the inbox, display each line, we click 1, PAR opens the 2 windows we need and when done we just click the "delete email" button an move on to the next.
Do you think it could be possible ?
