Can we use the same gallery with different images

Postby bilwil » Sun Jul 27, 2008 1:28 am

I apologize in advance for the newbie questions.

We are promoting our own solo girl site and would like to build galleries that we can use for multiple picture sets. We would have different backgrounds and different text on each one that is specific to the photo set but the design graphics would all be the same.

Will this be a problem with the TGP/MGPs? We do not know anything about submitting and are trying to figure this out before we make any mistakes that get us blacklisted.

If it is okay to do this, how many sets should be do it with before the gallery design is saturated?

Thanks!

Please feel free to ask ;)

Basically, the more original content or gallery design you use the more chances you have to get listed.
If you couldn't create a new design for every new gallery I recommend you to create several templates and let them rotate.

It isn't strictly forbidden to use the same gallery design but honestly, it can become pretty annoying both for site owners/gallery reviewers as well as for your gallery visitors.
So it's better to wait some time before using all the same design again and again - if you have no other choice.

Okay, I appreciate your feedback and just want to clarify so I know what I am doing.

Would these be considered different enough to submit them within a couple days of each other. The layout is the same but we have changed the design images and the content set is different.

We are thinking that we can build 5 - 10 basic layouts and then just change the design elements and colors as we rotate through them. I am trying to figure out ways to use the basic layouts over and over. The time to slice them up and convert them to HTML is the real problem. I dont want to do that for every submit we do.

Thanks!

Yeah I understand it can be the real problem.

I like the way you change them and in my opinion, it's sufficient enough (as long as the content set is different), however I am not a TGP or MGP owner....

All I can recommend is minimize the number of your outgoing links from the current 5 links to 3 (the 2257 link included). It would be pity, after all, if your galleries get rejected just due to the exceeded number of outgoing links (don't forget that the galleries will *probably* also contain some additional recip links).

If you're not sure what's an outgoing link just search for this part in your gallery source code: <a href="http://

Hope this helps ;)

Thanks for the feedback Joan.

I had built these before starting with Chameleon so I did not know much about TGP rules. Now that I am learning more I will go in and change the galleries to lower the outgoing links.

Do the TGPs count an email link if I have a webmaster email link at the bottom?

Based on your input my wife and I are going to make 10 completely different layouts and then make at least 5 varieties of those with different colors and design elements to rotate between. This way we can go through a ton of galleries before we would end up with something similar on the same TGP. Hopefully this helps us.

Thanks!

Yes, I think this can definitely help you.

Regarding an email link at the bottom: Actually, I have never tried to use it on the submitted galleries so I am not sure... but I wouldn't use it either as it can be found & abused by various email collectors for spamming pretty fast.

Good luck!
